The Hall of Fame and the greatest of their time Israeli music is very unique and hard to define, which is very similar to the people. A few  Israels listen to calm, melodic tones with hopeful romantic lyrics, while a few others prefer to listen to combined sounds of the Middle Eastern genre which Mizrahi with hip- hop beats and cynical lyrics. Due to the people of Isreal having different taste into perspectives in music has led to many different artist thriving and inspiring this nation. Artist such as Ani Ve’ Ata or Arik Einstein to begin with. Arik Einstein was known as “ The Voice of Israel,” and is seen as the most influential and most popular Isreali artist. In the past 50 years, he has taken in 500 songs and 34 albums, collaborating with many well-known Israeli singers and songwriters. Reflecting the Struggles of this young Country Music is seen as art and a way of telling your story. It’s used to interpret and letting out a lot pent up emotions such as anger, sadness, love, and happiness. The rhythms, harmonies, melodies, and poetry of music relate to and help to define personal characteristics, social customs, and rituals, national religion, as well as national and personal identity. Majority of nations and societies has had hundreds and thousands of years to develop national music; the State of Israel has only had since 1948 to assert its political, social, and cultural entity of music. The early history of music in Israel was discovered by two major forces: the Zionist movement, whose participants encouraged the creation and dissemination of Israeli folk music; and the political struggle opposing Fascism. "Spotify," who? "Apple Music."who?

"Shiri" the new wave? Ok, so everyone has that go to music app on their, phone, laptop, or tablet, or whatever you use to stream music. It’s either Spotify which is very popular, Apple music for all of our Apple product lovers, youtube music for our fantastic streamers, and etc. Well, Isreal recently said forget all of those apps we are making our own for our culture and music. Recently in early February, the Isreali government released a new music streaming app called “Shiri.” The app has already uploaded 40,000 Isreali songs, with many more to follow in the near future. The app was developed by the Culture and Sport Ministry, along with the National Library of Israel and a nonprofit organization called “Finjan.” The Home page and Basic setup of the app!  The app is made open to the general public and ad-free with the goals of conserving and preserving Isreali music throughout the generations.
